The Ministry of Transport and Communications believes in investing in its employees through training and development to enable them to improve current job performance, or to develop their capabilities for career progression. We use performance management as a tool to translate business plans into action and to develop the organization culture necessary for realization of the Ministry's business strategy. Performance management is also used to achieve a balance between the business needs of the Ministry and the needs of employees for job satisfaction, just reward, personal and career development, and training needs.

The annual performance review process will provide the basis for evaluating the employee’s readiness for promotion.
