The ‎ Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) is the Communications Regulator in the state of Qatar established by virtue of Emiri Decree (42) in 2014. The CRA regulates the Telecommunications and Information Technology sector, postal services, access to digital media and spectrum. The CRA encourages and supports an open and competitive Information & Communications Technology (ICT) sector that provides advanced, innovative, and reliable communications services. The document on this page includes modifications to the existing Class license for Short Range Devices (SRDs) . 

The modification includes amendment to the existing Annexure (2) of the Class License for SRDs as well as additional applications of radio-communication devices that include Radio Microphone applications, Radio Frequency Identification applications and Ultra Wide Band Technology applications.

All stakeholders in Qatar are requested to respond to this consultation.  Responses should be sent to type.approval@cra.gov.qa before October 21, 2014.
