The ‎ Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) is the Communications Regulator in the state of Qatar established by virtue of Emiri Decree (42) in 2014. The CRA regulates the Telecommunications and Information Technology sector, postal services, access to digital media and spectrum. ictQATAR launched a public consultation following a request from QNBN to authorize various entities as Qualifying Persons as defined in the QNBN license. The consultation was launched on March 19, 2013 and closed on April 9, 2013.
