New Control, Awareness Campaign on Maritime Vessels

The Ministry of Transport and Communications, represented by Maritime Transport Affairs, has conducted an awareness and control campaign to ensure maritime vessels’ helmsmen and users follow the Coronavirus COVID-19 preventive and precautionary measures, as well as relevant maritime safety measures.

Several maritime affairs professionals from MOTC, the MOI’s Criminal Investigation Department and the National Tourism Council participated in the campaign.

They inspected to what extent helmsmen and users of all types of maritime vessels follow the precautionary instructions of the National Committee to Combat the Coronavirus. They also delivered more of such guidance and awareness on the importance of adhering to these instructions to stop the spread of the virus.

They also inspected compliance with relevant maritime safety and security instructions and availability of all safety and security equipment on boats.
